Long Island Trail Lovers
Coalition is creating a
web-based informational
resource for the public!
In an effort to make
public trails even more
accessible, we are
providing a full
description of the
pretty places to walk on
Long Island. The
Path-o-pedia will
document every trail,
with both driving and
walking directions.
This will be a dynamic
resource and it will
include the
participation of the
people who love these
trails.
This dynamic resource
will also include a
history of the trails
with information about
the trails groups,
environmental groups,
organizations and
agencies, and the people
responsible for the
wonderful trails we have
today.
The current list of
hikes on the LITLC
website is incomplete,
unbalanced in focus and
in some cases already
out of date. It will
improve.
Please
email me your
descriptions of Long
Island hikes and trails
and be a part of the
Path-o-pedia!
If you are not inclined
to write I invite you to
take a walk with me on a
trail that you love I
will add the information
that you contribute to
the Path-o-pedia.
